saw a vid at work the other day something similar-
bus lane some where in this country only buses can use it but people try to get throu the barrier as a short cut. bus goes throu and they try to follow and of course pole shoots back up either impaling car engine or smashing the front up, ill try find it.
was a cctv vid i think but on you tube.

the second vid had me chuckling for ages, funny as fook, the las5t guy in the white van watch his head hit the window. ROFL
A guy was talking about something like that where there was a police car chase, and the thief had put the money through the machine/pole system to let him through, but the police vehicle didn't pay, as he rolled over it as the pole's shot back up and it sent the copper car flying
