Right guys ive got a bit of a problem. The 90 degree fitting on my nexus black magic wont unscrew. I have managed to undo the grub screw in the other hole, but the fitting (no matter how much i try) wont budge :(

I believe the guys at planet had fitted the elbow, so dont know wot they used to get it so tight.

Any ideas guys, before i blow a blood vessel :D

Cheers,
Darren

It is likely that the elbow has been fitted using a high-strength sealant.

A combination of heat and leverage should shift it; I used to use a hairdryer & the longest pair of appropriate sized grips/socket wrench that I had, plus - when available - a vice using soft grips.

Make sure you get the fittings from Tom Allen. Not only are they safer (tested to a higher pressure etc) but they are easy to attach to the marker as they use a typical hexagonal wrench grip.
£15 i paid for plenty of macroline and 2 of the fittings, and ive had no problems at all, infact very much doubt anybody on here will as i've not heard a bad word about them.

now tom, wheres my commission ;) (in all seriousness though they are worth it just so the fittings are guaranteed not to fail on you)

Alternatively give Chris & John at London Paintball Supplies a call regarding their high-pressure hose kits. The hose attaches to the connectors at either end with a screw-on fitting, akin to the old braided hose, thus avoiding the eventual wear that occurs with macroline as you remove & connect it.

Have to agree with that one... a very secure bit of kit... great if you've got more than one marker and only one air system... never had any leaks from it either....
