as a first gun it was brilliant for me, perfect for rec-ball, and i may keep mine as a backup for tournemants if i can't sell it.
I had no real problem with shortstroking and it worked really well for me, but the best thing is if you can try one out before you buy it.

yeh they are quality guns for rec-ball and decent backups for tourneys, if u avent got another electro that is. if u can go for the pro as it just offers that bit extra for a little bit more money. ultiametly it depends on whether u actually like it after trying and shooting it.
