Wondering if anyone out there knows why markers without trigger guards were not allowed at campaign?
Unfortunately we are a team with very little money and the majority of our team have second hand Angel LED's that came with no trigger guards, not knowing this ruling we went to campaign to then end up going in to the first game without three markers! We did win that first game however due to me with one of the markers breaking to the oppositions (coyotes, sorry guys) cross on the Draxxus field and taking out six of them from there . We then had to continue the rest of the day with six markers as we could only get together another two markers, this kind of ruined our campaign (on top of that we lost two players before the tourney started as they were in a car crash on the way down and had to turn back, this also left us playing our two twelve year olds for all the games). With everything that went on, the loss of the markers was a big blow on top.
As far as i can see it is for a safety reason but a trigger guard does not stop you from being able to accidently touch the trigger, but people feel safe and do not take precautions. A player without a trigger guard is more concious that they can touch the trigger and will always keep there fingers behind the trigger untill they are about to fire! Outside of a game all markers have barrel socks on and are turned off so they are safe then.
I just cann't see why they were not allowed.
If anyone can help I would be gratefull.
Thanks,
Jasper
