Tree Or Sheep, What Is Truth??????

HAVE PAINTBALLED FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW BUT THERE'S ALWAYS ONE THING THAT HAS ALWAYS BUGGED ME, WHO STARTED THIS MOST EXCELLENT SPORT. I WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD THAT IT WAS THE AUSSIES, THEY USED THE GUNS TO MARK ROUGE SHEEP AND CATTLE IN THE OUTBACK AND THEN GOT PISSED UP ON XXXX AND STARTED TO SHOOT EACH OTHER, THEN I GOT TOLD IT WAS THE CANADIANS WHO WENT ROUND MARKING TREES TO BE FELLED, THEN THEY GOT PISSED AND STARTED TO SHOOT EACH OTHER. NOT SURE WHICH ONE IS TRUE THERE MAY BE ANOTHER REASON FOR HOW PAINTBALLING STARTED , BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE IF YOU GET A BUNCH OF BLOKES TOGETHER, MIX THEM UP WITH BEER, PAINT AND A GUN AND THERE'S ONLY GOING TO BE ONE OUT COME :p :p PAINTBALL :p :p

In the late 1970's the US National Forest Service put out a tender for the production of small marking pistols to mark trees for Lumber

The contract went to NELSPOT who produced the Nelspot 007 marker in 1979

The first official game was in 1981 in the New Hampshire woods between a few Sports Writers, a Forest Ranger and various others. The Forest Ranger won without firing a shot as it was all-against-all and he hid until everyone else was shot out and collected the flags

Chances are the first game in reality was at the Nelspot Factory after they'd made the second prototype :D

I bet it had terrible range, accuracy, gas efficiency etc. But it looks pretty darn good.

How much do ya think one of them would sell for about now?

Would they actually be worth something decent like antiques?
Or are they just boring and dusty like antiques?
