tourny tips???

was just wondering if anyone could give some tips as my team should be going for KOTH ON THE 22ND?we are a new team with some team mambers with very little experience in the game.we just mainly want to have a good day and meet other people into the sport but would like not to do to bad.any advice would be much appreciated.thanks .

first off ENJOY THE DAY

dont worry about results just play try to improve a little

get organised arrive with plenty of time to set up equipment and walk fields decide on whose going where


DURING THE GAME KEEP TALKIN TO EACH OTHER TELL EVERYONE WHERE THE OPOSITION IS SO YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT TO DO
watch other games see how others are playin that field
ask other players opinions NO ONE will take the piss as the masters/koth is a great seies for all levels

and at the end of the day ENJOY YOURSELVES

1. Obey all the safety rules.

2. Make sure you have all your kit together the night before. Being organised will make sure you enjoy your day and don't spend it running around like headless chickens.

Walk the fields with a good team, find a div1/2 team just stand around listening what they are saying, most teams wont mond a KOTH team taking some free advice...

Get all your paint potted up ready before the games start unless you have a pod bitch for the day!

Make sure everyones guns/tanks/hoppers are ready to go and everyone has spare batteries e.t.c

Ask marshalls about anything youre unsure about as thats what they're there for

Make sure you get the captains meeting in the morning, in fact get your whole team to go as its your first time otherwise it can be alot for the captain to take in.

Take a tool kit cos you inevitably need it!

Make sure your back plays shout alot as they are the eyes for the team, most KOTh teams have appauling communication as its very difficult when you first start to get your head round everything let alone be telling everyone else what to do.

And finally get there nice and early too many people turn up at last minute which means no time to ask questions/sort equipment out/sign in e.t.c

Yep everything above is sound, I'm sure if you have any questions speak to wendy (tourny organiser) and she or any other one of the girls I'm sure would be more than happy to help.

As for getting tips of Div A teams/Players, I'll be guesting for the Furion lot, and would be more than happy to help with your feild walking etc, and what could be better than last years Masters overall winners helping you out eh?

thanks for the acvice guys, just waiting on the captain paying the deposit and we should be there no doubt we will be enjoying it and hope to make some new mates,maybe even meet some of you guys there .some1 has told me that some paint carnt be used as they stain,is this true?if so what are they?cheers.

Think thats only Blue paint at Lincon, although it might of changed from last year. Best bets to go for a bright pink/orange

Both Just Paintball and Pheonix will be there as always selling paint, and even a few more makes might be on offer, so just go for the best deal if your just starting out on the day

Whatever you do dont buy too much paint cos at the end of the day there is only 5 hoppers worth (say 200 max per hopper) and three 140 shot pots allowed per team per game in the koth, and you'll never use all your paint especially when youre just starting.

Best to play it by ear, if you find you need more paint and you have a few games left then buy another case, as above there are always trade stands and they usuall offer discounted prices for teams playing on the day.

If its your first time your liable to be slightly baffled by the hole tourny scene causing you to just want to go with the flo . This is all good but occasionally a marshal mite make a ****e call . If this happens stand up for ya self , if you don’t youl regret it after . Chances are the decision wont be changed but at least you feel like you tried . When a marshal runs over to check you for paint dont stop shooting , if you dont think youv been hit you have nothing to worry about and its up to him to see if you have been .

Get to the site as soon as you can and walk the fields over , as was said before if you find a good team to do it with youl benefit .

But as was said before ., main thing is just to have fun m8 .
