I am part of Aberdeen uni paintball society. I have played a reasonable number of tournie games with the uni/ at sites and am looking at seriously getting into tournie paintball.

I would love the oppertunity to try out for a team in scotland and hopefully play with them. Please, if you are short of a bod, or looking to expand your team roster PM me or post up here. I can travel to anywhere within scotland if need be.

tournie games? Have you tried sup'air?

Best thing to do mate, is to come along to a edinburgh keltics or Livingston clan training day mate and see what sup air is like and train with both team and then take it from there...ie. see if you enjoy it.

There is only two teams in Scotland.

Clan training is in Livingston

Keltic training is in Edinburgh

Dates for 06 are still to be arranged by both teams (am sure).

hoped that helped mate.

Is that an indoor facility? I.e with reballs? Or outdoor with real paint.. And if it is outdoors, how did you go about getting permission, i.e insurance, netting, H+S etc etc...

We've just been given permission to train in our Uni gym with reballs, but no idea how we would do it outdoors on the playing fields etc etc...

nah its not indoor with reballs. There could be a reball centre opening soon next year in Glasgow tho ;)

Its outdoors in a huge open flat land. Talk to Big_Sid for details but with some common sense, maturity and responsible people you dont need insurance, netting, H+S etc.

Couldnt agree more with you mate, but it doesnt matter how many mature responsible people you have playing if the people who own the land dont really understand the game/sport...

I still remember showing the marker to the lady who runs our gym hall, and her jumping in fear at every click or movement (this is with no air or hopper attached)... Its very much a case of putting together a strong argument, winning over the management and showing them what youre doing, and that its safe and enjoyable..

well when the clan and the keltics train there is always someone watching out for stupid people who come over trying to lose an eye. as soon as we see the we all stop firing our guns until they are well out of reach infact out the field. also we burst most of the paintballs we fire anyway so they can pick them up. hopefully if you come through you will see its all safe and cosure.
