As titled, are apex barrel tournie legal?

Forget about laning some guy behind the bunker, get him out instead....

I would bet my kids on it that they aren't, although I can't find anything specific in the millennium rules. (section 11.05) barrels can be ported, slotted or rifled but not silenced.
