Have a look at the southwest league website:

http://www.southwestpaintball.co.uk

and then go to the league section, you can have a look at the tournament information.

New novice teams are always welcome and you will find the tournaments are excellent fun.

We are marshalling all six legs so maybe we'll see you guys down there for a few of them.

Try Temple, near Gatwick in Surrey. You'll see loads of references to tourneys there on the boards. 3 permanent sup'air fields, 2 tourneys (5 & 7 man) most months during the summer.

Yep, go to http://www.londonpaintball.co.uk/
You'll see every level of team there from Pro to entry/first timers, usually split into divisions according to ability. Friendly people, happy to answer your questions, give Clive a call (pretty sure his number is on the web site)
I also highly recommend Sparklie's novice tournaments. Lots of fun in a relaxed atmosphere, again plenty of help & advise plus she can usually arrange a more experienced tourney player to guest for you if you want to help you find your feet.

I'm in the same position maz. I've not played a tourny since about 1995 (!) but a couple of mates and I are thinking about trying to get back into it (cue lots of pulled muscles ;)) but the Essex scene appears to be v.quiet.

It doesn't help that PGI have gone so us+euro biased - gone are the days of extensive write-ups of Abridge and AGP.

If you get something sorted, let us know how it goes. I'll have to see if my bunch of overweight, overage, slackers can be persuaded to play again ;)
