Tournament rules

I was wondering if anyone knew of a site anywhere with the tourney rules on?

Also, I'm not sure of the legal specification for tournament fields, eg how big must they be, what kind of netting used etc.

If anyone could shed some light, it would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment, most tournament series in the UK have slightly different rules and regulations, though most and hopefully all will be following the PA Rules this season. Have a look at www.thepaintballassociation.biz , there should be a copy somewhere on there or at least a contact who can refer you to them.

I get the impression from your post that you are thinking about setting something up - as you are based in the wilds of west Cornwall can I suggest you contact Sid at www.southwestpaintball.co.uk as he already organises the league covering that area.

Thanks for the link to the rulebook, that makes some informative bedtime reading!

I read somewhere that there are tournaments with different numbers of players (i.e. other than 7), I was wondering if they had seperate rules, or are they simply applied in addition to the ones printed in the PA rulebook? Similarly, I heard of limited ammo tournaments, eg 200 / 300 balls per player per game.

I'm actually looking into setting up something in Cardiff, as I'm now studying at uni here full time (although I have a long way to go before I can even think about setting up a field! ). I was just hoping to get some info about how to get started, like the legal safety requirements of a field.

I'm also curious about the local paintball scene, as I'm fairly new here.
