I currently have a ProMaster which I love for woodsball and now want a tournament gun. I was thinking should I either go for a 2nd Hand PMR or a 2nd Hand Angel Speed 05 which one should I go for?

best thing is to get down to a walkon or tournament and try them out (if people will let ya) :)

sooo many threads on here start with 'should i get this or this' and end up in arguements....

get a shocker.

can pick them up for around £150 -200 and imo better than a pmr (and yes i have owned both) and much lighter than the speed.

if its definatly between the 2 then i would go with the speed, simply because it recquires very little maintenance, it is a high end marker, where as a pmr is more a mid range, the pmr has plenty of things that can be upgraded but a speed already has it all to start with.

if you can try both before you buy

Try all the guns that you are interested in, and only settle for what is right for you.

PMR would be my choice; a doddle to maintain, and can compete at a good level - shoots 15bps, and has all the firemodes you want.

Cheers for the help.

Question would the markers be better tournament guns than my ProMaster?

One of our guys uses a promaster.

Doesn't have a problem helping us to acheive 1st -3rd place in Div 4 of the NSPL.
I do love my ProMaster, I was just wondering would the shocker or angel be better than a ProMaster in tournaments.

in what way do you think changing your marker will improve your play ?

If you play in a league that allows ramping and you can happily hit the ramp speed pretty fast and be able to shoot enough paint without running out of gas then other than shineyness of of a newer marker ( which is quite important ;) ) why do you want one ?
