So I am brand new to this, I have not even plucked up the courage to go yet! but I like to research things before I do them!

I am planning to go to Unreal Paintball near in stoke-on-trent madeley. It is a 3 minuet walk down the road and I can sometimes hear them from my house!!
has anyone been here? got any tips?

I of course want to go and make sure this is for me before I go in to this too deep.
I am planning to go alone and do what is called a Pay-and-play is this a wierd thing to do? or should I be asking someone to come with me?

any newbie tips are helpful, what to wear? pre-fitness?
Thanks very much guys :)

Hi Marshy

I'm assuming as your paying and playing your just giving it a go?

No pay and play is not a weird thing to do, sometimes refered to as "punter play" etc. So when you arrive you'll ,most likely be loaned everything you need.

all i suggest taking with you is some slightly padded clothing to wear under the overalls and a pair of trainers that you dont mind getting muddy in.

depending on how you find the day out, you may like to persue the sport further by buying your own kit, joining a team, playing tournaments/scenario games etc.

hope you gave a good day out.

As Rat said bit of clothing under the overalls, pair of old trainers or boots are even better if you have them for woodsball.
Best tip. Get stuck right in! If you think it, do it!
Respect the other players and have as much fun as humanly possible.

P.S: All paintballers are abit weird lol.
See you back here when your addicted! Don't go and spend loads of money on kit if you do like it, come back here first!

My advise would be to try and not get over excited, as you'll just breath heavily and your mask will fog up. My first time playing punter-paintball, it steamed up like a german sauna and i couldn't see anything, ended up blind and being shot a lot! If you were thinking of purchasing your own equipment, i'd strongly advise getting an anti-fog mask first.

Going alone is fine, but i found going with friends to be more fun, as you can stick together and try and play as a squad. Doesn't matter if they have experience or not.
Either way, the most important thing to remember is to enjoy yourself!
Oh and for clothing, i'd advise something with padding, but also quite loose fitting and baggy, a pair of thick joggers and a hoody will be fine :) Just try not to get too sweaty!
