ok, heres the thing, i love my cocker (paintball marker, you gutter brained ballers) and she's shooting sweeter than ever at the mo.
Think is, since i founded Downward Spiral i realising more and more that non-electro pnumatics arent as competative against the world of electros.
I used to feel comforted by the fact that many tourney teams had cockers in their ranks, but now they are mostly Raced, or Ebladed.

So.... Dilema.... Do i Race/Eblade Frankenstein( current spec in sig), or go for a whole new shiny toy. I was looking at a maxed out Impy, or Timmy.

I know buying a new toy will be more expensive. but it would mean i would be left with a spare.
However, "race"ing my cocker would mean i could stay with the dark side and my true love, Frankenstein.....

Whadya think?

if anyone else had put that post up you would ahve been the first reply with a ton of questions like.....
do you wana spoil your favourite toy?
is an e-blade gonna spoil your favourite toy?
can you afford to buy a new pimped electro?
do you really want to change your set-up?
changing marker would mean changing your style.
just answer the questions you would ask any other 'baller who put that post up.

that help?

Bloody pesemist.

I wouldnt ruin my current toy. I do know what im doing when it comes to fitting this kinda kit.
In the new year, yes i will be able to afford a pimped out new shiny marker. but will have to hold back on playing for a month or so.
My playing style is far from refined, but it would be better to change my marker now, so that i refine with a marker that is top class.
That way i can never complain that its the marker holding me back, just me.

But do you not see my point?

6-12 months ago, cockers were a tourney competative marker whilst remaining non-electric (because at that stage there wasnt the option)
Now nearly everyone has, or wants an elctro kit for their cocker to "bring it upto speed" with other markers on the market.

And as for how i would have responded to any other baller making that same post, i couldnt have answered, otherwise i would never have asked in the first place!

fair comment, but i have seen you jump into threads like that on more than one occassion, usually when some one says somethins broke.
anyway, back to your cocker.
as you know nexus are shootin them(e-blades), and they are crazy fast, there are definately alot of pro's and few con's about buyin them.
remember the cocker- even the e-blde is a pretty compact marker, all the rest are pretty tall-especially the Imp. mines slowly gettin there, but i still gotta get me an i-frame.
i wasn't bein pessimistic, i was merely suggestin that you may not wanna separate your cocker as you maybe attatched to it in its current state.

any better?

thanks dude, slightly more constructive :D
thing is its a right hand feed body, so the hopper sits quite high on it anyway.
Was tempted just to spend money on an eblade/Race and centerfeed body, then get the whole lot anodized silver/red fade (front/back) dust finish at belsales. instead of a new marker.

Like i said torn.
All the internals of the cocker are more than capable of keeping up with the Race. But if i do change all ive listed above, its gonna take time, and a small stack of cash.

either way it'll cost a small stack of cash.
it's just how quickly that stack of cash gets you the marker you want, do you want a pimp electro NOW, or do you wanna make Frankenstein THE force to be reckoned with on the tourney circuit?
say are you marshallin sparklies this weekend?
do me a favour and pop Smally and Snippz if you are.
or just really freak 'em out- just put the wind up 'em and i never told you to ok?

lol

^ Thread Jack Alert ^

Anyway... Yeah im marshalling sat & sun this weekend.
Im picking up smally and snippz from the station (not to mention Little Jon)
I think after a 10 min ride in the car with me they will be truely shaken up. :)

Either way on the marker, i will have to wait till the new year simply because of fundage. might have to start getting some solid quotes on all the stuff i want.
I dont think i probably ever sell frankenstein, but it doesnt mean it will always be my primary marker.
If i had the money id do both, pimp up franky, and buy a new toy aswell. but i havent.
