As many of you guys, I also started with a Tippmann 98, then a few guns followed, Smart Parts Shocker (a very old pinky one :) ) , ICD ProMaster, Proto Matrix 07 (dont get confused with the Rail! that was rubbish that time). Had the PM7 for many years, still got it on the wall :) Now I am playing with a DM15.

I never owned any planet eclipse marker but sometimes had the chance to try them. So I have a minor experience in those.

But get to the point. I would always buy a Dye marker, not because I want to spend that much, but those markers are the best in my experience. And the thing is, you dont need to buy the newest dye marker to be on the top, as the DM series didnt change too much between the 08-13 you can pick any as used for relatively cheap cost ( quality / price ).

EDIT: The comparison would have been better if you do it in the same currency...

I've shot quite a few markers, and personally I think now-a-days not much changes year to year. I think you can buy a older high end marker, let's say a Geo 3 and get a different barrel and it won't shoot much different to a brand spanking £1500 new marker.
