Ok well I'll start at what I have got so far, I have been playing paintball once a year or something, so I bought a spyder sonix, for £50. Not too bad but I really want to start playing more as I have some spare money (Won't be there for long but Ill be having a student loan next year so no worries!)

I don't know if I should keep with my spyder for a bit, see how long my money can stick out playing paintball or something. But I am not looking to upgrade it much, really like the look of the Bravo one. Any reviews? Or should I get something else? I will just play in the woods.

I have got this utter rubbish mask and I really need a new one, I am thinking the entry Proto Switch. I know a few stores stock them. Are they any good I want something that I can stay a bit hidden or something.

If I was to swop the strap on this what would I need? Just the strap seen a really nice one online. Love it and its only a £10! Its a KM make one.

I have actually fallen in love with this vest, since I first saw it in justpaintball, its the GxG Tactical Vest. Any good things with this, again bad, seen many reviews and can only see positive reviews actually. One thing that I am a bit worried about, is the position of the gas. Does it have to sit in the centre? I would much rather it on the right and pods on the left.

Can you use a coil with Co2? I don't really want to run about all day with the co2 on the marker, gets annoying by the end...

Is there point using a low level electric hopper with a mechanical marker? I might end up, if I get the bravo one, upgrading it to an electric one, as from what I've seen online it is easy. But that will be in a year or so. Don't fancy spending £70 on a £100 marker to make it shoot faster.

That is all I can really think of, I will still carry on looking for items etc. But if you can help me, I would love it. Next time I'm out paintballing is next month sometime, so I would like the coil and vest if I can afford it and they work as I want! Or just the goggles!

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long read!

Your best bet is to look around the Classifieds of this site, its 2 fold realy, you can either buy it low end all across and spend more than needs be by upgrading in the future when you go higher up, or get some quality bits right off the bat for a little more second hand and it will save you money in the long run.

Also, go for air, it is much cheaper in the long run, and again is another £50 saved from having a useless co2 bottle.

If I were to have a very quick guesstimate my own preference

2k4 Intimidator - £100-£150
Pulse £50
Air Tank - £90-£100
Extra odds n sods - £30-£40

Thats around £300 and gives you a pretty decent entry level tournament setup.

Though form your post it sounds like you've already brought some gear? Just consider, a little but extra at entry level paintball gives you a lot more.

I will only be playing in centres, so co2 isn't a problem because they supply it.

With that marker, it doesn't really fit in the areas I play in. I only ever play in woodland, hence picking the Black marker. I'll look around for the pulse, as I have really been looking at the lower price scale for hoppers, no idea why.

Cheers, any more advice.
