To any old North vs South veterans out there

Hi guys, it's Parksy from Warped


Any old school North vs South players out there, with any info on any old war story's you have about our big games ?, is there anyone out there played everyone of them ?, i think the first one we staged was in 1992, we have put them on every year since
under different names such as NvS, Midland Big Game and 2K series, i'am looking pre 2k2 as the whole scenario scene in big games as changed.

What i'am looking know is.

1 How many times you have played one of our big games.
2 what marker were you running out the time.
3 what team you were playing at the time ( if any).
4 Has anyone played every big game we have put on.
5 Tell me any story's you might have on any of our big games.

I'am putting together a article on our big games and scenarios, and how the big games are and where run, i can remmember face's from years ago, but i can't remmember names.

If you can help me with this project please post here, any info would be greatly appreciated.

i went 2 the 2k3 and at the time i was using an automag!-a nice one 2! i dont play 4 a team. it was a great match minus a few bad points e.g. losin! all in all it was one of the best ive ever played and i look forward 2 the next 1!

I`ve only played the 2k3 game but the ting that sticks in my mind is the norths suicidal air drop into the the outpost nearest the south base watching the marshell hold the red flag up as the canon fodder from the north walks into the enclave and the 20-30 + south players just milling around charged on a air dropped northeners it was a massicar, the north`s fault for timing the air drop seconds after a genrall release

Been to the 2K2 and 2K3 used a tippy 98 at the first one, the second i used my cocker. i played for the north both times. .

Ally you played for the south on the first game, if you remember you borrowed a CO2 bottle from one of us.

me and flossie mike used to play the old ones, back when the camping was in the forest next to the roadside basecamp and there was stll an armoured car in the safe zone and no bars on the windows of that old building (guess where i slept!) and the whole of the entertainment was about 10 of us round a oil barrel with some burning wood in it!

had a succession of markers in those old days, i played about 6 of the ones when you did them twice a year for a while (around 93 to 96 at a guess)

had a cocker and a sterling, have never palyed for a team, must have done about 8 or 9 over the years including the last couple, must say i preferred them when they were a little smaller,

the only one consistancy i know of though is every bloody year people start moaning that the other side has been cheating, both bloody sides say it every year

i do remember our general (south) i think he was jon buinch? he was dressed up like a cuban/columbian drug dealer and ive got a picture of him sniffing the line! (most probably flour or something though!)
