What do you Brits do on the Fourth of July??(independence day) Is it like, hide inside while the Americans living in Britan run around and blow off fire works

We usually get a flash on the news saying 'And today, July 4th, all Americans will be celebrating their independance....and now, the weather" that's usually what happens here.
You're better asking Chip and Roo from Team Corrossion, they're yanks that are posted over here in the forces so they'll probably see more of that than us Brit dudes.

Eric the Britts light fireworks for just about anything. But they do it Big Style. You know the Big MoFo's that go Boom with lots of pretty little sparklers in the sky! I am talking your average person sets these off. Us for us Yanks we hang out at the Base and celebrate with the rest of the YANKS so we can feel patriotic!
On the 4th of July we go to base and shoot off all kinds of fireworks. The funny thing is, that the Brits enjoy it as well. Kinda ironic huh??
We're just nice guys that's all. Brits rock, when we're not too busty slagging each other off and being lazy.
I think the phrase "any excuse to get drunk" springs to mind.

Us Dutch we just sit in the yard and smile while we crack open another brew. Not for any particular reason, because the 4th july celebrations over in the USA don't even get a mention on the news here. Although we might as well have a good giggle about the whole thing, because, man, did we make a lot of money on that war. We sold arms to BOTH sides!
I'll ignor the rest of the stuff and totally agree with you on that statement. Kinda like us in the US celebrating Cinco De Miyo. Mexican Indepenance day! Just another reason to have a few beers but also eat Mexican food. Let's not forget St Patty's day we get green Beer! LOL
