Guys and girls,
We are 2 events into this season and it seems that a few teams and
players, have some problems with the way things are run, with regards
to rules and marshalling. So there are things a foot to help you lot
out. Chris Gosling from the Ugly Ducklings (known on p8ntballer as
Goose), Andy Piper from PGI Sharks (know everywhere as Piper) and Mimi Pezet
from the Evil Pigs have (for some strange reason) decided to help you
all out. We are creating the European Players Association - and this
will be the main players association recognized by the Millennium
Series. This Association is here to help you, but you must also help
yourselves.
What we would like you to do is e-mail us with what you think is wrong
so far. Please include everything that makes the events good or bad, we
want to know exactly what your thoughts are. Once we have all this
information we will go to the Millennium Board with what you see as the
problems, this will help us all (organisers included) to see where the
problems lie. What is happening now is players have no way of voicing
their opinions other than going to the event organiser, who has too
much to do anyway.
So this is how it works:
E-Mail us with your comments, you the players know who or what was good
and who or what wasn't - field set-up, the judging (we don't need
specifics from individual games - just general opinions),
organization/schduling, food, toilet facilities, drinks availability,
trade stands running order, location, players party, and if you feel
you got value for money. We are also interested in ideas people have to
remedy some of the negative aspects currently in the Millennium Series
- after all it's easy to complain, a little harder to be a part of the
solution.
Players are also welcomed to drop us a line to show support, or if they
are interested in helping out - we are looking to expand the role of
the association, but this can only be done with your active help.
Now we will take all the information you give us to the board and we
will work out what was most important to the teams and work backwards,
so if judging was the most important that goes first on the list. Once
we have spoken to the board, there will be a meeting for all team
representatives at Toulouse this year and you will be informed about
what is going on, re your comments and concern's - and the things we
have planned for the association in the future. We are here to help you
as much as we can, but YOU MUST send a rep to the meeting if you do not
send anyone then we feel you cannot have a voice due to the fact that
you could not be bothered to come to the meeting. Basically our motto
is "If you don't paticipate - you can't bitch"
So come on get and drop a mail to one of the people below and lets hear
what you have to say.
Signed
