I'm looking to buy an A5 and would like a bit of advice.

Can anyone recommend a set up? I'm thinking along the lines of an A5 with low compression system, flatline barrel and either the E grip or the Response trigger.

I'd like a bit of feedback on peoples experience with the E Grip and RT and any advice on the range of barrels that appear on ebay.

It's a general all round noob question really so any and all advice would be very much appreciated. Unless the advice is don't buy one :)

All I have to say about the A-5 is that it is a big gas hog. I knew a guy who takes aleast 2 or 3 20oz CO2's with him to the field because he will run through them just playing one day. The E Grip would be a better choice because the RT will use air unlike the E Grip. The gun also has alot of kick to it compared to other guns. I would just recomend saving a bit more to get a better gun such as a autococker or an impulse.

i used the a5 and i didn't think it had a lot of kick.
kick, accuracy, etc are all subjective anyway. have you ever used an a5?

personally i'd recommend an e-grip and double trigger.
maybe the low pressure kit if you can afford a reg and nitro tank.

the stock barrel is decent, so dont worry too mcuh about getting a new barrel right of the bat, either.

and impulses and cockers aren't a "little bit" more, they're a lot more.

hes a new player, a cocker or imp would not be a good choice. the rt does not uses extra air it uses air that is normally wasted from the cvx.
with a lp kit u must have a reg and nitro, that should get rid of most of the kick, and a rva (combined with the velocity screw on the gun screwed in all the way) will not make it a gas hog. the flatline is a good barrel, with a consistent gun it should be great, but it isnt uber accurate
