Tippmann A5 Servicing

I've just bought a second hand Tippmann A5, screws are a bit rusty and gun has got a little bit of paint on it, it's only had about 5000/6000 paintballs fired through it and has only been used 3/4 times, is there anything i should be doing to it i.e get it serviced?
i've been told never to get it serviced unless there's something wrong with the gun,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Their right dont get it serviced unless there is something up with the gun
you should probably oil the gun as thats good for the o rings and after that i think i was told when i had my a5 to re-oil it every 3 months roughly, its not crucial but its good too
other than that just clean it and it'll serve you well as for the bolts if they're still ok leave them unless you just want new ones

that's good advice, thanks, i've heard i have to use a silicone based oil? is that also true?

your welcome umm not sure to be honest, i just used the stuff that came in the box have a look on youtube and you'll find some good vids that will explain everything have a look in the manual, if you dont have it you can download a pdf off the net

if u can get ur self to the next super6 event i will give ur gun a once over and it cost u nothing as iam a tippmann tech next one is less than 2 weeks away in surrey look up super6 on goggle and see if u can get urself down thereill be there on friday/sat/sunday

its the last super 6

where do u live can u get it up there tho any of ur friends it the last super 6 of the yr so i cant tell u what is next event as i dont know untill my boss tell me at the super6

i live in the north east therefore taking about 4.30/5 hours to get to surrey, non of my friends are going either as i'm brand new to all of this haha

While it's working leave it alone, they are fairly bullet proof, only open it up to service if you have problems. There's always one in our kit bag as a spare, bought secondhand about 4 years ago, never serviced, probably had 20,000 through it, still works everytime it comes out of the bag.
