tippmann 98c or bt4 combat??

hi, i'm pretty much stuck!
i've read reviews on both these guns, and they've got about the same...
they're about the same price...
i'm just looking at getting a stock one, then upgrading to a (maybe) 14inch barrel (i found a ceramic one on ebay (which apprently are quite good?) for the bt4, not the 98c)
i'll be running it off air, and be used in wood games...

tbh mate, if you stretch your budget try going with somthing like tippmen a-5 or bt deta elite, it will save you cash in the long run

i'm pritty sure both the tippy 98's and the BT-4's are made in the same factory, so unless they are second hand there is just about no difference

BT-4s are supposed to be better, and they have the more common A5/X7 barrel thread.

Hey mate.

I work at a paintball site and we use tippy 98's and BT's, we always seem to have problems with the BT's!!
To be honest bubblegumbob had the right suggestion, if your going to buy your own marker you are better of splashing out a few extra quid and going for the tippy A5.
Just thought i would throw in my opinion

hi mate spend a bit more for the tippmann a5 that was my first maker very easy to look after and very reliably and still use it for a back up maker when my pmr09 is not working.

i know it sounds stupid but i can't really afford, say another £30, on a marker...
and i'm swaying towards the 98c (found a good deal on one too)

trust me mate, its better to wait as you'll get a better bang for your buck. when i started i only had 70 pund and was going to buy a rubbish blowback, but i waited for 90 pound and i got a second hand pmr which is great. please, beg borrow steal it is worth so much ,more if you wait
