Hi all, call me a dumb ass but i cannot get the elbow to swing off with my 98c. I thought you can just pull the elbow and it swings down so you can see inside for breakages etc. But my elbow will not shift at all, is there a hidden screw or something?
Cheers for any help

no no screws on tp of the gun there is a little metal strip that looks like a sight for the front of the gun, its right next to the feed elbow, if you press that down it should release the elbow,

Cheers i had to hit it with a mallet as it was stuck solid. I guess i need to lubricate it so that you can move it up and down a tad easier. The allen screw that goes through that part holds it i suppose.
Cheers for your help

dont lube it to much you want it stiff cause you could run and its so loose itwill fall off and you will lose your hopper

I thing ive got it sorted cheers for your help, ive still got a lot to learn lol.

Another question i had is in the 98 manual it says to remove a co2 bottle you need to turn it 3/4 of a turn then pull the trigger or something.
Is this necessary or can you just unscrew them straight out in reality?
Cheers, dont want to blow anything up!

it will be fine just unscrewing it straight off but you will go through more o-rings than if you do as manual says undo it abit, fire it and keep firing while you unscrew it, will de-cock as the bottle comes off, if that makes sense

Ok dude, just as long as nothing bad to the gun could happen, its cool. Just getting used to the set ups because ive only played punter days before where everything is taken care of for you.

Thanks for your help.:D

Nothing wrong will happen to the gun, but you will go through o-rings on your bottle a lot quicker.

edit: oops already been said.

I found out the elbow was stuck because there was a spring missing from the sight so it had been screwed really tight to stop it falling down on its own. Anyone know what this spring should look like or where i can get one?
Cheers all.

Manual

If you havn't got a manual go here

http://www.a-1paintballstore.com/98cmanual.pdf

and print off the pdf, you'll find it invaluable, even if you have got one you can print this off and keep yours clean while you work on your gun.

btw its a 'front sight spring' and try Paintball Direct for spares, or theres a guy who advertises in the back of PBUK

Give it a good check over, if this was missing, what else is?
