Tippman M98 C

I have finally settled on the marker I'm going to go for.
A silver M98 C. Probably with air rather than Co2.
My questions are: Has anyone here owned one of these, cuz I would like the benefit of your experience in what I can do to it Re customisation.
Interested in names of parts like which triggers will improve ROF on this and which barrels will fit on a M98, which venturis will improve matters on this marker. I presume an electronic hopper would also be a good investment on this.
also any other items that you can think of that will imrove performance on these?
Thanks for your advice...

I bought an M98C as my first marker

And after throwing another 150% of the initial cost at it, I had a very quick marker, however...... upon having a go of a standard impulse, I realised that this is not an accurate marker in the world of things. I had spent my money on the following:

Lapco bigshot barrel 14" (Regarded as the most accurate barrel)
GTA Expansion kit (to allow better running on CO2)
GTA Responce trigger kit (Yes this is quick, check legality in your area)
12v Xbrd Revvy (For Feed rate)
Plus various other bits and bobs.

It all depends on what you are attempting to do with the marker. For recball etc, they are very reliable, and because of a lack of electronic parts, will take an all weather battering. For tournement play, I would seriously suggest you rethink what you need out of a marker, and have a look at the secondhand electro market, as you will find yourself outgunned in the field.

As for running on air, the tippy is designed to run on HP (800psi-ish) so go for a fixed reg or factory adjustable reg set at that sort of pressure, to be honest, they run just as well (if not better) on CO2, as they were designed for the site trade.

Mine has been resigned to purely fun use now, and will doutless be sporting a flatline barrel, and stock in the future for scenario games. I ended up going for a 2nd hand Eclipse Shocker, which is 5 times the marker of a Tippy, for about twice the cost (actually less than the 98 cost with all the trimmings)

Speak to jack. His brother has a tippy with a fair amount of mods and uprgrades etc... He is onto his third colour scheme now as well...

freak

Yes, I had freak in mind for a barrel. Seems they are damn good. Don't they have liners and things? That would be good for being able to use a range of different calibre balls.
I would like to change the bolt to a venturi type too I think.
What about ball feed - How can I stop ball breaks on a tippy? (not that they do much!) are there any devices that will help with this?
Cheers for all the opinions

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Tippman Ball feeds

I think that tippman themselves produce a sort of power feed type gadget that just clips in where the standard elbow / breech does.

Not sure if its worth it, with a revy on there you should be fine.
As for a barrel you could give WDP a call, the infinity is availiable for the Tippman!
