I have just got a Tippman 98 with an Ebolt. The gun prefers liquid Co2 but the instructions state that liquid Co2 is a nono. As Ive been suplied with an ordinary Co2 bottle it appears I am stuffed. Nitrogen and compressed air are not an option as a big scenario game is round the corner and Co2 only is being suplied. All my local shops are confused as they all say Tippmans run on liquid Co2 . The Tippman website appears to be down all the time. Any help would be appreciated

Tippmanns used to run on liquid co2, primarily as a winter weather function so that they'd attain desired velocity. This was way before nitrogen was introduced. Nowadays liquid co2 has been pretty much given the thumbs down and blocking it at all costs is the consensus, especially with the 98 because it has a much higher rate of fire than the older ones, so that combined with liquid would cover the whole gun in ice, put holes in whoever you're shooting at, and freeze whatever touches it.

So ignore what Ive been told and just get the Co2 bottle with the antisiphon tube and shame the devil. I was suplied with a Co2 bottle is there any way of telling if it has an antisiphon tube fitted short of opening it up?
