ok i got it soldered on but it only shoots every so often and not every time the switch clicks...does anybody have a cure for it lol :D i really need ti sorted for reading on sunday any help would be great!! thanks

The switch might click but if it doesnt go back past its reset point, pulling the trigger will not cause the gun to fire.
Increase the forward travel of the trigger by alot, to see if that is the problem!

The other cause of intermittent firing with a timmy could be the eyes.
Check that they are clean and working.

ye i have tried all modes!!! i dont really know what to do i could try taking it off and then putting it bak on or something i really dont know :( but i need to do sumin..

Are the solder joints on the trigger switch good?

Did you solder the right pins?

Its not shorting out anywhere (no bare wires anywhere)?

Try removing the microswitch from the gripframe and then pull the switch to make the gun fire.

I know you said you have tried all of the trigger positions but it could be that there isnt enough travel in the trigger to operate the switch properly.

its a dark timmy so its soldered straight to the board it looks ok to me but i have taken out the board and tried pressing it myself and it still doesnt work properly :( thanks for helpin out by the way matey :)

no probs

Im afraid timmys arent my area of expertese, so I'm almost out of ideas.

One last one, try shorting out the pins that go to the switch.
The switch works by connecting two of its pins, so if you close them yourself with a bit of metal and it still does the same thing it would rule out the microswitch itself as a possible problem.

sorry

i dont reaslly understand that one... so if i find a piece of metal and put it...in between two of the pins so they both touch it and then it shoudl click on its own? or wen i push it or not atall? lol :D

There should be 3 pins coming from the switch going into the board.

When you press the leaf it connects two of them (either the top and middle, or bottom and middle)

Instead of pressing the leaf use a peice of metal to connect two of the pins.

This should make the gun fire. So if it fires every time you short the pins then the microswitch itself is faulty.
