Timmy idea - will it work?

Sitting up late last night trying to ignore the Mrs rabbit on about Big brother, i was thinking about modding my Timmy.

Now as we all know the ego's internal wise is practiacally identical to a timmy - minus the QEV's

I haven't stripped an ego down yet as no f**ker trusts me with a set of allen keys but i imagine the QEVs on the ego are screwed into the front and back of the Ram chamber (the ram sleeve on a timmy) with QEVs being involved im assuming egos use barbs aswell

Anyone think it be as simple as unscewing my barbs off my ram sleeve and screw in a set of planet QEVs on??

think it would make a drastic difference performance wise?

there was a thread on pbnation or maybe intimidatorowners.com about this the thread is different on qev's so you would have to either make an adaptor or retap the right thread into the ram sleave. you also have to either mill some of the body of the timmy away or the qev. the conclusion was that there was to much work and not much performance gain if any.

If you can give me it for a week, I've got a cracking mod for a 2k2 timmy.
Basically it involves tying it to a 150ft length of rope & using it as an anchor for my boat.

Racegun produce(d?) a solenoid for timmys with QEVs already fitted, dunno about the performance increase though....
