After taking apart my Timmy to clean and lube my Timmy after a few months of play, I now fine that when I gas the marker up, it fires and then the bolt is left forward under pressure and takes alot of force to move back where it then goes back to the forward posistion.

Can anyone tell me whats wrong?
I have a Alias Timmy

I've tried everything I can think of, even taking apart the noid thinking it was something to do with that but no joy :(

Thx Tom

What would cause it to do that though? Sounds bad to me, did it ever do it again?or in a game?

I've tried turning the marker on/off,New bat and everything I can think of.

Could if be something to do with one of the hoses geting trapped or one of the wires getting cripped?

Beaker-Just lubed up the Ram/Bolt and Both Regs (Torp and LPR), then once finding the markers bolt was sticking forward I took apart the Noid thinking it was something to do with that since that controls air flow through the marker and allows the bolt to go back.

I've made sure the hoses are on the right barbs so I'm sure its not that.

Anyone got some ideas?

It souynds like the single shot it fires is fine, just the bolt then gets stuck, when the marker is de gassed though the bolt/Ram both move freely like normal :(

Any help would be great thx Tom

Didn't do it again and to be honest I just put it down to the bolt being in the wrong position when I aired it up. That said though a month or so later the solenoid gasket went pop according to the new owner (thread in this forum)

Ok thanks Collier I will have alook at the thread.

Would a new noid cost much and where would I buy from?

Or should I just send to planet or Pheonix? to get fixed :)

Long shot but take out the ram, gas up the marker for a sec (it obviously wont seal so don't waste air) and then clean out the ram tube of any grease. Re-assemble without extra grease and try that. If it works just lightly grease the ram.

if you didn't touch the grip then the tubes couldn't have got pinched or changed barbs on their own. Only thing comes to mind is that there is grease blocking one of the hoses. Otherwise it might be the solenoid, but if you say that's OK.

One thing - does this first shot happen when you gas it up i.e. the bolt flies forward - or is it that it sets fine, then when you fire the first shot it doesn't re-set?

Paul, had that happen twice to me before the solenoid started to leak everywhere, think there connected?

Like you said I just re gassed up the marker, fired off a few times then let it be, although I've only used it twice.

You sound like the guy I should be talking too :)

Will try your first point when I get home from work, although I dont think I put that much dow on.

Well I "think" the noid is ok, I've taken it apart and put back to gether and everything seemed to be ok.

When I gas the marker up it fires without me presing the trigger, almost as it its unable to recock so it can be fired again.

I guess they *could* be related if the gasket is working its way loose and then partially blocking the holes?

I dunno
