Timmy help needed asap, beaker, Manike...anyone?

I have an Alias with a problem. When in dry fire 'S' mode, then gun works fine, it fires, and fires fast. When turned to either delay mode 'D' or Force 'F' and the trigger pulled the little star appears replacing the F or the D. The eyes are clean, and all well connected, anyone know what the problem may be? And how do i sort it out?

You have a bad eye, bad eye wire, or the eyes are not aligned.

Is it an early gen alias or the newer gen one? i.e. is the feed neck press fitted or is it machined as part of the body?

If it's the earlier version then the body slots on the side of the gun may be stopping the eyes from aligning squarely. If it's a later version this may still be the problem and you need to pack behind the eyes a bit.

Remove the eye covers, hold the eyes square on both sides. Put it into force or delay mode and shoot. Does it still give the * symbol? If so sounds like a wire/eye problem.

If not and it works as intended then you need to ensure the eyes stay aligned. You can do this by bending the eye wires as far down as possible, or by packing out behind the eyes with card/tissue.
