Ok, Im bored and fancy breaking things......

Ive been looking at my stock timmy bolt and thinking that I want to cut it down and make it shorter. From what i can see it looks like all the plastic after the Bolt Pin is uneeded?
Anybody know if it will adversely affect the performance of my marker if I decide to cut the wastage off, or if there is a reason for the bolt being so damn big? :)

Thankies in advance

on my brothers storm intimidator i tried my original alias bolt and it refused to shoot any further than 10 feet. the timmy bolt is the same diameter and all that but shorter. if you can get your hands on an old spare bolt someone has no need for it could be worth a try, but for what performance gain???

A guy I know did it.

He also cut the holes for the detents properly (the ones on the stock bolt are way off).

In theory a lighter bolt reduces kick, and allows you to lower your LPR (for the same ROF) which is kinder to your paint and further reduces kick.

I dont know how noticable its gonna be..

Absolutely you can cut your bolt down, and cut your own detent slots (I used to do this to all my bolts).

Just be careful because if you make it too light you may not get decent and consistent velocity.

I found using a cut down bolt, but higher LPR pressure gave me less kick, more speed and worked great.

I did have to set the LPR higher, but that's not a problem. Gun was a machine gun. :)
