Just use the inline reg to control the pressure.
Besides, you don't want a Thor. It's a cheaters reg if there ever was one. Easy as hell to spike. Get a Thor, and at a smart field, you will have a ref breathing down your neck like a Friday night date at lovers lane.

I don't know what the "cheater's reg" thing is about, but I used a THOR for quite a while on my Speed. It was a great thing, but about every other week it'd blow an oring on the inside. PMI gave me absolutely no help on it, so every time I just kept replacing orings. It really sucked.

You say you have a Pure Energy tank--PMI makes a low pressure kit for the PE tanks that is very easy to install and makes the tank run at ~450 psi. Works great, and it's fairly inexpensive.

That's my advice, anyway.

Because of the design, it is very easy to spike the output pressure of a Thor without tools, and have it back to the set pressure in a shot or two. That's why I called it a cheater reg.
No. I'm not going to say how it is done.

for the price of a Thor, I'd follow Knobbs' advice or get a different in line reg (Sidewinder, Gladiator, Torpedo, etc...). I've been using a PMI HP pre-set screw in with my speed and it has worked fine so far. All I had to do was remove a couple of shims from the LPR because I was having trouble lowering my velocity to under 300 fps.

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Well if you absolutely convinced you want a THOR e-mail Andy Piper since he's Mr PMI Europe or phone LPS on 01707 325007.
I'm sure I've seen those regs when i've been in there.

But I'm inclined to agree with everyone else, if you are concerned about consistency get a better vert reg. Sidewinder, Black Magic or Gladiator would do nicely.

Well, when you put it that way, I'm pretty sure I can imagine how it's done. The problem is just as Paul said--the velocity will spike at the THOR, but the output pressure of the minireg should only go up something like 1 psi per 35 psi raised from the THOR. Or maybe not.....that'd be an interesting experiment.

But, to reinforce my last statement, the THOR is an awesome thing on paper, but I'll never use one again in real life.
