Hello all, me and a few friends have a few grand kicking about spare and we were thinking about running a pball place at some woodland one of us owns.

We understand how much equipment costs etc. but we really don't have a clue where to get started on insurance, we'd really like a rough estimate on how much it would cost to insure 20 ppl in woodland that's about half a mile away from the nearest public road. Any help would GREATLY be appreciated, thanks

Hi firstly contact steve bull and join the UKPSF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To obtain site insurance you need to work to UKPSF standards even if you don't become a member site ( I recomend you do though) Non member sites get penalised and have to pay extra.

Steve is a fountain of knowledge and has the awnser to most things. Once you join up you will rcive a copy of the site owners guide with all the laws regulations, heath and saftey stuff ect about an inch thik and well worth it. You are also kept informed of every thing going on via news letters ect.

Perkins and slade are the main insurers at the mo I don't think any of the others will touch paintball with a barge poll one of the main topics of disscution at the UKPSF confrence earlier this year was insurance.

I am sure you will be able to obtain a quote but you will need to under take a risk assessment before you open the site to the public get toilets in ect.

Good luck

Check out the UKPSF web site for Perkin Slade's address, I know they are in Birmingham somewhere.

Be prepared for a shock, I know that all Public Liability insurance has gone through the roof in the last couple of years.
