Now how does that help him?

Personally I wouldn't go with an M1. I would however pick it over a spyder or tippmann, but then again it depends on how much you have to spend. Save a little more and try to get nice stock cocker - you will not be disappointed.

I'd recomend it

I own a Viper M-1. And it's probably the most steady CO2 gun I've ever shot. It only needs minor tweaking through a whole day, and it's been reliable +/- 5 FPS through a whole day. I have a ceramic-teflon barrel as well, and it does help put a better feel on the ball.

It's not an Angel, true, but it's a VERY reliable piece of hardware. It's my loaner gun for newbies, they can't mess it up by just shooting. :)

Thats exactly what I heard easy to use, accurate, and reliable gun. Just what I am looking for...

Plus I am a player who believes you dont need a Angel to win. The gun helps to certain point but its mostly player skill that wins games
