Just a couple of q's for those who might know.

1) How do the American Divsions equate to the Euro level? we play Millennium as Novice and that fits Ok but what would that make us in the US - Novice, Rookie or Am?

2) Do people think it would be too late to book now with hotels etc

3) if any teams are going (Rushers!) how much are flights roughly?

I too looked at the Mardi Gras tourney, and worked out that it would cost roughly £410 per person for return flights and entry fee. I cannot afford that alone, never mind money for paint, food, hotels and most importantly DRINK!!!!!! I would love to go over though. Let me know how your plans are going, and what its like if you do go. We need more UK teams making the trip over the pond to show the Yanks how we play ball.

Thunder are thinking about it :)

Only problem would be we want to play a minimum of 4 Millenniums and if it means people can't do those (especially now it's 3 on the continent) then we'll probably have to give it a miss :(

We'll keep you posted

Yes the Rushers are going!!! We wanted some action in the states - havent got 10 men - they don't do 7 - so Mardi Gras was the obvious answer. The Mayhem Tigers are also going.

We booked in with Rab about 3 weeks ago, sorted our hotel out 2 weeks ago and am booking our flights this weekend.

The flight I found works out at £288 inc tax.

The hotel - Holiday Inn west bank (I think) $85 a night/room. There are rooms available - we are coming back on the Thurs 31st to allow for a bit of sightseeing - cant stay beyond that (though wanted to) as the prices go sky high for the superbowl that follows that weekend.

Come on over - you know it makes sense!!!

It's harsh

But I've done the same for the this year and next - but it's 'ball mate so I sacrificed my week in the Alps for a week in New Orleans - it's gotta be done.

Sort it out and see you out there

Well, we'll know by the end of the week if we are going, can't say it's the best timing, straight after Xmas.

Anyway, even if we can't make I'm sure I'll just have to get them to do an extra Millnnium leg to make up for it :D

And I am planning on doing a season in the states next winter so I can live without 1 week this year :)
