you have got to treat your kit like everyone around you will steal it if you give them a chance. Nothing is safe at a paintball tournament. People always say that paintballers don't steal from each other, but that's bull sh@t. I delt with several thefts at Campaign Cup, and at least half of them were paintballers. Mostly small stuff, and almost all crimes of opportunity. Don't tempt other paintballers by leaving your shiny new kit laying about, assume that it will get knicked and lock it up accordingly. You wouldn't leave £1000 of cash sitting about so why leave your shiny marker sitting there for someone to be tempted with.
Trust me, i know about stolen kit, and you can be sure that i'm not leaving anything laying about this season.

i get a bit wound up over thieves, i've had two guns stolen this year, and goodness knows how much kit!

wen we had our first tourney some little pikey's picked up colins tools and tried to bugger off with them, so its not just the paintballers, but i say trust no one!!
lucky bird was on hand to do the police lady like thing and bust there ass'.
