Hello all,

I have got myself a Thermal Paintball Mask, which comes with a clear lens. I'm wanting to get a spare but wasn't sure if I should go for a clear one again, or if it is worth getting one of the coloured ones? Although I'm not very sure what they're used for? (If anyone can shed light on this it would be much appreciated!)

Thanks
Craig

Dark lens for bright days, yellow lens for low light, the clear will see you right most of the time although you might find yourself squinting playing into the sun (more so if you had a yellow lens in). I like yellow for playing in dark woods.

I play woodsball and personaly find clear better although i have only used clear and mirrored lenses i found the mirrored lens a bit dark but i only started playing in the Autumn so in the spring and summer lighting it could be different

Clear is always useful. The only thing is in bright sunlight in an open area
If playing in heavy woods, indoors etc then dark shades will limit your vision

Yellow & amber do have subtle differences (I can't remember the specifics at this time of night and with my old mans brain) both give better contrast in low light. One of them is the optimum shade - I think at the moment true amber is the right one

Mirrored is the darkest lens and any scratch or mark is obvious
