The UKST v Everyone else "Against All Odds" 157 booked in so far...
Shoreline are pleased to announce the release of the first paintball event of 2009: Against All Odds.
To be held at Bawtry Paintball Fields on Sunday February 8th. It will be a return of last years event where the 37 members of the UKScenario Team went up against 137 of the best of the rest of UK paintballers.
Described by many as “...the best scenario walk-on ever to be held in the UK...” and by an American paintball journalist as "...without doubt the most pyrotechnics ever used in a single paintball game anywhere in the world..."
After the success of last year, this time round it will be run on a similar format with UK Scenario Team members past and present combining to form a team even more formidable than last year when the scores were tied 2-2. This time around - there is everything to play for!
The teams will again be unevenly split with as close to a 70:30 ratio as possible. In the event of the UK Scenario Team being out numbered by more than 70:30 - then some players may be invited to join the UK Scenario Team to battle......Against All Odds!
The two teams will be led by two of the greatest characters in UK paintball. Al “The General” Murray of Tippmann Scotland will be captain of the UKScenario Team with special guest appearance by Mr Paul Banks of Tippmann who will lead for one game. Tony “Da boss” Lindsay of the Scottish Warriors will be leading Everyone Else in a contest where no quarter will be asked for.....and none given.
Bawtry is acknowledged as one of the best sites in the UK with great features including the infamous ‘Helicopter’, two twin storey forts, 'The Bridge' and of course the 60ft high treetop fortress. Check their website for pictures of the site and directions on www.bawtrypaintballfields.co.uk
HP Air will be provided on-site up to 3000psi. Co2 will not be available at this event.
The Scottish Warriors have again put up a great prize to be awarded to player of the day… A brand new marker from Smart Parts, so new that it doesn’t have a name yet as it hasn’t actually been released! The marker is based on the SP1 but with the addition of Epiphany fire chamber technology and a Blackheart board to the inside to ensure high performance and on the outside there are some spectacular additions to give it a scenario feel, including a C.A.R. style stock and a vertical fore grip with integrated bipod. A great prize and we are very grateful to the Scottish Warriors for donating it.
Tickets are £25 in advance and can be purchased through the Corporate Killers website: http://www.corporate-killers.com or pay on the day tickets will be £30.
Just to whet your appetite here are some films of last year’s event…

We have managed to negotiate a preferential rate for players at the local Campanile hotel, it is by no means 5star but it has a bar and beds, what more do you need?
The rates are £45 for room only and £50 bed and breakfast (although breakfast isn't served until 8am).
The above are based on 2 people per room, the hotel doesn't allow any more than 2 per room so don't book a room for 4, just 2
Their website says there are no vacancies so you must first email them on doncaster[@]campanile.com explaining that you want to book X number of rooms for the 7th Feb at £45 room only or £50 B&B as agreed with Shoreline Paintball. If you need to call them you can on 01302 370770 but if you are wanting to book rooms you must make first contact by email.
See you in the bar!
