Arrr this is one that i can never understand when i get to a tournament anybody share the light?

In the rule book from the series or MM it doesnt state our re- trigger bouncing.

Mine was bouncing like mad after i had messed with some settings:eek: and realised that the trigger was too sensitive.

The marker and since mean tunned down however im sure with these new Angel Speeds and other markers similiar coming out will we have to look into whats allowed and what's not.

I know Trigger Bouncing is not allowed but i know there are people you still walk on the field with there trigger bouncning.. and if its not allowed then whats the penalty?
Do marhcells have to check every marker?

maybe this will be look into more in the future

Hi steve, in this months issue of PBUK, their is a short statment about this, apparently from now on in most tournies, the marshalls will shoot off some paint from your gun, to see if your trigger is bouncy, marshalls are also being trained to find this out!

hope this answers your question, and yes it is highly illegal!

What IS trigger bouncing.
Sorry to sound like an old geezer, but I've never had me sweaty mits on a electro marker before.

All this new fangled stuff..
'Whats wrong with stick feeds' I hear you all shout.....

I presume it's if you set the trigger too sensitive???

When your triggers 'bouncing' your getting multiple shots for every trigger pull.

I had my IR3 doing this, was mad, was getting 4/5 shots every trigger pull :) obviously fixed it... but was fun

to put it pluntly, yes, it is when the trigger is too sensitive.
triggers today are so sensetive that you only have to whsiper next to it and it fires, these sort of triggers are being found illegal for some reason or another.
Also i think it is a little to do with the cycles of the gun, its fireing to many cycles or somthing, as i stated earlier, look in this months PBUK, it has a section on their about this trigger bounce.

Trigger bounce normally comes from when the trigger is set to sensitivley it is most prevailent in markers that have a bit of 'kick' to them.
The trigger on the viking is extremely light and short but it does not bounce.

There was a thread somewhere about this recently, and it ended up with a set of tests for this that was suggested for Millenniums. Don't know if the Millennium Board took it up, but we did for the M25. These tests specifically avoid finding the "sweet spot" on the trigger that can sometimes occur e.g. the tester shouldn't try to hold the trigger in one position part way through depressing it.
Here's the final version that was posted here -

"First, the judge will fully depress and hold the trigger. While keeping the trigger fully depressed, the judge will attempt to move the trigger side to side. The judge will then release the trigger. No more than one paintball may have been fired. Second, the judge will as quickly as possible fully depress and then release the trigger. No more than one paintball may have been fired. Third, the judge will apply sideway pressure to the trigger and then attempt to fully depress the trigger. No more than one paintball may have been fired. Fourth, the judge will slowly, over a period not to exceed two seconds, fully depress the trigger in one continuous motion and then, over a period not to exceed two seconds, slowly release the trigger in one continuous motion. No more than one paintball may have been fired.

"If any of the four tests are failed, a player may request that the complete set of four tests is repeated an additional two times. The marker will be deemed legal if it passes every subsequent test and be otherwise deemed illegal.

"Any marker which can be made to fire without applying a force external to the marker directly to the trigger is illegal.

"These tests will be performed with the marker held in a manner and position consistent with playing on the field

I know for a fact that, RT Mags, with level 10 kits, in em can make their trigger bouncey, (summots to do with the back pressure)
With RT's thats what they are designed to do (RT= Reactive Trigger) :)
