The right barrel!!

Hi.
Well, you will find that its not so much the length, as what you do with it....in a tight spot you will find the shorter barrel is a god send!!!
As long as your paint fits the barrel ok, then as short as you can go really. However, a longer barrel can be used to push into the bunker, so you can shoot easily but the rest of the marker/hopper and you are hidden behind it (on inflateable's)
You also get better gas consumption with a shorter barrel and not too many ports.
Being at the front mean being as tight a poss, but still remaining a force to be rekon'd with, its a balance.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

12" is probably the best option as its still usable on the rest of the field but not too long at the front,10" are a bit limited and 14" may prove a bit too long.
Have you thought of buying some sort of modular barrel ?,it doesn't have to be the full kit maybe just a back and insert if needed and a couple of fronts.I have a Deluxe Freak set and to be fair I only use a couple of the inserts but i find the ability to change barrel lengths the best part.

Last year I switched from 14" barrel to a 10" and my accuracy wasn't as good. Don't think it has to do with the barrel itself though. I think a longer barrel just helps to sight your target better. Although IMO anything over 14" is just too awkward to maneuver.
