The original and real 'Fight Club' returns?

I am, of course, referring to P8ntballer's 'Fight Club'. Perhaps you recall it? A controlled forum for conflict and debate I tried to start many moons ago only to fail miserably because there weren't enough posters with sufficient fortitude prepared to play by the rules ...

So why am I bringing it up again when there are no real signs of any great forum-wide improvement in our populace of users? Mainly because I've got a new idea for how it might work and it would leave most of y'all on the sidelines.

Here's the deal: A potentially divisive or at least debateable pball related topic is chosen and champions of one side or the other are chosen to go at it for a limited period of time. Afterwards, forum members can vote on the results, the "winner" and offer their own two cents. It could be fun.

So what do you think of the idea?

And what topics would you suggest for debate?

New Millennium ruling that every hit no matter where it is is obvious and therefore 1-4-1'able. Includes hits on pots and packs. If found playing with a hit on the pack, or pot for example, it will be a 1-4-1

Si, definitely less geeky and none of those sissy debate rules either--mostly. Maybe re-state your topic as which had more impact on present day paintball and you can choose your side of that one.

Sam, definitely timely. Perhaps we could get Mr. Morris to take up one side of that one. (Just a suggestion ..)

Missy, apparently you've not been watching reruns of F Troop on Nick at Night or TVLand. (Gyro may get that one ... ) Anyway, swell topic but who's gonna argue it? Do you wish to rep Big Paintball?

well actually maybe not the mods- I'd like to see Robbo or Baca go head to head with someone

I'd volunteer...but I'm not really knowledgeable enough on rules etc to debate something like Millennium 1-4-1 rules and that...

...sounds fun to watch though
