Today, the SW League re-launches itself as The NatWest SW Paintball League, or NSPL.
I can now confirm that the NSPL has secured an exciting sponsorship agreement with the NatWest bank and has adopted the banks name into the league title. The SWPL name of five years has now been dropped in celebration of securing such a high-profile outside sponsor.
The sponsorship enables the league to enjoy many benefits, which will in turn raise the level of service provided to the participating teams. Not the least of these benefits is an image and title for the league that is immediately recognisable by the press and general public.
The name change comes at an ideal time, as the league is undergoing many changes to push the paintball scene in the South West ever further and create a more professional tournament series for its players to enjoy. This allows the league to completely change its image, leaving the old days far far behind. This is in direct result to the support from the NatWest Bank, the PA Affiliation move, support from other league sponsors, the drive for press coverage by team Press Officers, and the high quality of the league events and teams themselves.
This move is the result of months of work and is another giant leap forward to ensure that the NSPL keeps on improving.
The www.southwestpaintball.co.uk/league web site has been updated with details of the new sponsor, logos, etc. Also, the database for on-line registration for the coming season of the NSPL is now up and running. All teams need to be registered before the 6th March in order to enter the league events.
Here's to the graceful departure of the SWPL and the birth of the new, improved NSPL...
