Actually, noop posts this at exactly the right time. We are a year further, and only now can we say whether Salm's actions have indeed been detrimental to the sport. I'd say no. Paintball has not suffered from it in any way.

I actually think it's helped the sport. If anything, there is a more critical eye towards these type of things. It's not like that was the first time things like this happened. I've heard some stories from the woodsball days that are near-epic compared to Jeremy Salm's exploits.

Now we have netting on all four sides, NPPL has made completely netted deadboxes to hamper players from shooting out of them...it's forcing the leagues to take steps against these infractions.
