the dreaded question...

Manning26

Obviously, just my opinion here, but it'd be a toss-up between the E-mag, and Angel for stock ass-kicking factor. As far as custom performance models, it's hard to really do too much to either one of those, it comes down more to what looks good to you. I'm sure that wasn't helpful in any way, sorry, but, once again, only my opinion.;)

Stingray heaven

Paintballguy, I am sorry but I will have to disagree with Manning26 on this matter. It seems like so often these quote "pro" players just act like they have all the answers. In this guys case I find it hard to believe everything hes saying. My recomendation for a quality gun would have to be the stingray. Given it is a rather older style and maybe not as "cool" looking as some of the newer guns, in the right hands it can be a deadly weapon. I would be willing to bet that this manning26 the self acclaimed pro player has gotten his butt shot off by a stingray a couple times in is career.
I feel the real point of the matter comes down to the player not the gun anyway. So truthfully just get something that you like and shoot the hell out of it. Know your gun and kill your enemy. A good shot with a crap gun will beat a bad shot with an expensive gun every time. Some p,eople may pass the stingray up as a cheap poorly operating gun but its reliability and accuracy is unparalled. Good luck in your search for a gun, pick a stingray and you'll be a happy man.

Tulip, buddy, pal, amigo....
Before you get all high and mighty, and start praising the Stingray (which shouldn't be praised.....), why do you call Manning a self proclaimed pro player? The pro MEMBER thing under his name has to do with his post count, NOT his playing, so be careful before you say things like that.

P.S. I used to sell Stingrays (amongst many other things) and I personally thought they were a piece of junk, but that's just my opinion. Obviously you feel different, maybe you own one?

Pick a stingray, and you will never be short of paint soup again!!!

And Tulip if you actually read what people are posting, rather than just insulting people on this board out jealousy, then maybe you wont make yourself look like such a fool.

The guy is asking what guns have the best design and perofrmance, and Manning is right, he's listed 2 guns which both represent a step forward in the technology of paintball guns.
(I would have to add the Matrix on to the list, its versatility and consistency is very impressive.)
Tulip if you think your Stingray even comes close to these guns in terms of design and performance then you are seriously deluding yourself.
So go in the corner and cry..... Go on..

Well, many answers...

If I had to buy one gun and I could only use it stock, and that would be the only gun I would ever have, it would either be an Angel or an Impulse vision. The Angel is hands down, the toughest electro out there. And it has cool factor, is accurate stock, and is pretty simple to understand and operate. In fact, if I had all the money in the world my field would be using angels as rentals cause they are so damn tough, and it is easy to pull the trigger. That is the main reason. With an electro, using the marker is as simple as clicking a mouse. Point and shoot. That is the only reason electros are better than mechanicals. No matter what you are doing, if you can touch the trigger, you can shoot. there is no technique involved like with, eg, a cocker. If I had to use CO2, though, I would have an Impulse. It is the same as an angel as far as how it works and it is much simpler, meaning less parts. It is also just as or faster than an angel.
As far as which gun gets the most out of upgrades, I would say any stack tube blow back. After market valves help the se markers with efficiency, and many other upgrades just better the quality of the marker and make it last longer. Autocockers are perfect stock except for the barrel as long as you don't futz with them. A friend of mine has an autococker from 95 that is all stock, barrel to that works perfectly. All he does is keep it clean and oiled.

Stingrays are great

I use mine to hammer nails into the walls. But for paintball?

All jokes aside, Stingrays are a great way to get into the sport- but if your going to take it seriously, you need to put away the boy toys and get a grown marker. When I had my Tigershark(which I loved) I marveled at my buddy's Stingray. While we were playing with these low-end markers, we didn't realize that we didn't have to shoot and hope for the best. Eventually, we bought markers that shot damn near straight everytime. I'm happy with my marker, but I'm not going to put people down and shoot down their opinions. Hate to say it Tulip, but it looks like you got off on the wrong foot on p8ntballer.com. Think before you open your mouth next time, because we're all out here to have fun.
