I thought id write you guys a quick preview of our plans as i have heard many bizare and amusing rumours about what we are doing.
2011 was a difficult season for many, with different challenges for us and the ever increasing financial pressure of the economy on everyone we hope 2012 will be an improved situation for all of us as we move forwards.
CPPS 2012.
The season will be reduced from 6 premium events to 4. These will be held 3 weeks prior to each Millennium. The main factors for this decsion is so it allows the teams that desiree to play both the CPPS and Mills the chance to budget realistically for events and structured practices. This way the UK teams can build on the sucess of 2011 across all the divisions.
M5 Formats.
This will comprise of a 4 tiers, with two Race to 2 format divisions and 2 standard flag formats.
So the M5 Premier A for 2012 will be made up of the current top 10* CPPS 2011 M5PL teams plus the top 2 M5 Championship teams.
M5 Premier B will be the top 10 M5 Championship teams from 2011 (minus 1, 2nd as above) and the top 2 from the conference.
M5 Championship will be the remaining 2011 M5CH teams and the remaining spaces open to Wild Card entries.
M5 Conference will be as this year, aimed at the entry level.
The top 3 division will ideally be locked, and with only 4 events we feel this is a reasnoble request as they are aimed at the seasoned teams that take themeslves seriously.
M7 race to 4 formats will be dependant on discusions with the Elite and open teams from this year, more info to follow.
Some spots will inevitably become available in different divisions as teams break up/merge or in a minority of cases 2 teams are currently banned due to non payment/no show from rd 6 so we will fill the required spots with suitable replacements from within the current CPPS tree, and then wild card entries.
As some teams dont train, and prefer to play events we have not forgotten or abandoned you. Instead we will have a collection of smaller scale, one off cup events like the 7 man, a 5 man Cup, Xball cup and Formula 5/3 Cup event. Many of these will be held in conjunction with specific sponsors/or events but all have the aim of providint the quality you expect from BOP with a one off competitive event.
Also we will have a greater focus on the entry level sector with many events planned for this sector.
All in all 2012 will be what we all wish to make of it, but if your a serious team that wishes to compete at the highest level there is only one domestic series catering for those needs, if your an aspiring or casual layer/team then you have a choice of events on offer from us. And then if your new to the sport we will have events and activities to help nurture the potential new blood of the sport.
By december we hope to have all plas finalised, some kind of provisonal dates......as long as the MIllennium have there's sorted
and we will be taking provisional bookings from eligible teams.
The 2 teams from the Race to 2 division due to go on our **** list need to contact us to resolve the outstanding issues or there CPPS places will be on the open market and there players banned from the site/events for 2012
