The CPPS 2012 dates and info thread

Over the next few months we will be updating this with the forthcoming seasons plans, info and team sections/lists.

For 2012 we have three types of events.
The CPPS will be a four leg series aimed at the established and upcoming teams where they will compete in the most competitive league in the UK for the various series titlles available. These are three weeks prior to each of the Millenniums with the exception of the London Millennium event which has the CPPS 2 weeks prior to it.

Now to fill the void left by the main CPPS events we have a series of one off cup events similar to the 7 man we hold. These will be a 5 man, X-Ball (PSP style), Formula 5 and 7 man events. Exact details on these will be launched over the next few months with the formats, seedings for them etc.

Now in 2011 i felt we neglected the entry level market so we have a series of budget based, limited paint events aimed to help new teams find there feet in the tournament world, but on a more level playing field where team work and skill is the winning factor and not paint volume!

Hi mate

In the four main events where there still be a conference group or will new teams just stick to the limited paint events??

Also are you looking at havin any new team leagues in the 7 man, I'm quite interested in giving a couple of those a bash aswell.

Here we have the proposed preliminary groups for the 2012 M5 Groups.

For the top 3 M5 groups we will require a locked style format where all 4 events must be comited to. We do not feel this is an unreasnoble request as it is only 4 events. The Premier A + B are both race to 2 point formats with the Championship and Conference being standard 5 man, 2 flag formats as in 2011.

What we are asking now is teams on the lists have those spots provisanally assigned to them until they either confirm or reject the spot. Teams have until January to confirm the spots, any unconfirmed will be first of all be made available to the next highest placed team and then open to wild card entries.

There may well be more spaces in the above divisions, especially in the higher ones for Millennium aspiring teams as we want the best british teams to show the kinda results that this have started to improve in 2011. Its no coincidence that the CPPS teams were generally the highest placed UK teams because we provide the most competitive platform for teams to grind it out.

For the M7 we will be runing at least 2 locked divisions and an open but we are still discussing the best way forward with this format . Final team number/comitment and finnancial implications will have the main say of this format

Hi Rich, will there be an open Div for race to 4 ?
If there is, would like a team in both open div race to 4 and also keeping our spot in the race to 2 for our kidz team.

If no open div for race to 4, then will keep the race to 2 spot and have a spot in premier B for our kidz team.

Were still deciding how to do the race to 4 but rest assured there will be an open or div 2 race to 4.

Only slots that are wild card entries can be reserved so until teams drop out or miss the confirmation date we can only start a reserve list I'm afraid. The wild card/reserve list will be first come, first served as well
