Firstly, and at the risk of bringing down the wrath of the Mods , a big thanks to all the players that attended the Euro-5 man this weekend, it was a pleasure to Judge you, even Dave and Simmo
But secondly, and at the risk of bringing down the wrath of The Players I can honestly say a lot of you were pants
Now not all you and not all of the time, but a lot of you were very bad at a couple of things, but one thing in particular ( and you all know who you are.) Opposite hand shooting. Some of the position you guys got into to fire your guns down your weaker sides you would have to have been an Olympic gymnast to execute successfully.
Don't get me wrong there was a lot of Outstanding play , a lot of very lucky play but unfortunately some very poor play .
Now for the blatantly obvious ulterior motive for this post, The London Tigers are looking at running a Pro-school, similar to the two day event in Amsterdam we did earlier this Autumn, but most likely on just one day, early next year.
It will not be open to teams but to individuals who would like to improve their alround play.
Now I know my earlier comment isn't directed at you, but if just by chance you thought this might help you improve your game, book-in (when I let you know the details- watch this space) or let me know your at least remotely interested in doing it.
It was a very good tourney, I would say a pleasure to marshall ( in fact I just noticed I already have), but youv'e got to be some kind of sick f*ck to stand around for twelve hours in the wind and rain, get shouted at, shot at and whinged at all day long and get off on it. (Although John Dasousa seemed to )
And at a even greater risk of bringing down the Wrath of the Mods thanks to all of you ( I would have thanked them all when I was there Baca , but some had already left
Steve " Merv" Wilson, Your decreppid old tiger on the trigger.
Or is that just how I feel now?
