Teflon tape

Ok. I have a Shocktech bushmaster ordered and coming. I'll be sticking an AKA reg on it and think I read not to use teflon sealing tape because little pieces can tear off and mess up electronic guns. If I can't use that, what should I use to seal up the threads? Wouldn't loc-tite have the same problem?

teflon tape is a bendy solid that can rip, and so little bits can fall off.

think of loctite as being like resin, it's liquid when aplied, but then hardens intop a solid chunk, so it may wear dow and put molecular sized particles through your gun, but it wont mess it up.

p.s. i have my eye on a shocktech bushy, so could you tell me what they are like when yours arrives??

Close enough description but bits of resin or whatever you call it inside a marker electro or otherwise will still screw it up (unless there are no regulators involved, stock class pumps generally) using telflon tape (ptfe, plumbers tape) it easier to overdo it and get some in the system thats why is isn't reccomended. Blue Loctite is simpler to apply and easier to avoid getting inside the workings. It won't wear down as it is applied to the outside of a thread which when the loctite has hardened it doesn't move so what can wear it down? Sure move the fitting and then you will break the seal and "if" you remove the fitting then "perhaps" some bits will enter into the marker, but then being careless will always break things.
