i've tried rec ball and also watched a tournament at a site outside kidderminster in worcestershire and would be interested in trying tournys if there is a team out there that would try me out. and supply me with a marker just for the first tourny as i've got my sights set on a smart parts ion. i know this is cheeky but i want to break into tournament after talking to a great lady called sonic at the tournament. thanks daz

Depends on how far you are prepared to travel, have a look on the paintball association site for teams near you and I understand that Just paintball have about 200 teams on their web site.

We are always looking for our academy team as well ;o)

thanks for your reply well i live in kidderminster so how far is leicester from kidderminster. i dont mind travelling as long as its not to the ends of the earth. does it matter to your team that i'm a natural left handed player when it comes to firing weapons i'm ambidextrous good left or right i've had to be whilst doing 17 years in the forces.

just over an hours drive, along the M42, down the M6 and up the M1 one junction.

We are trying to train our players to shoot off handed but to have some one stronger on their left is cool. We have set up an academy team to provide traing with the view of bolstering the first team as and when recruits are ready.

how often do you train? and is there a 'b' team or novices team that you recruit from that i could possibly look at one weekend. but like i said i havent got a marker yet until the end of the month.

We try to train once a month at the moment but have problems with booking at Skirmish as they are liable to cancel you at any moment but are looking into other alternatives. We have the use of a field but no sup'air

We started the academy team at the end of November and the guys have trained between 0 and 3 times and played their first tournament to other week at KOTH and want to enter the next one on the 24th.

Choose your marker well, better to save a little longer and get an appropriate one than to buy one that looks nice but you have to upgrade after your first training session, as has happened to a couple of players.

Dazzly, we train at Wrexham on a monthly basis... little further than Leicester for you (I think approx 65 mile) We have one team playing the UK Masters and looking to build a second team to enter the KOTH next year

There are closed teams like Wolverhampton red heat, Birmingham Pheonix and the Coventry chargers but I have no idea if they are running academy teams
