Well chaps.....

playing the diablo cup today has tought me a valuable lesson in paintball, never play with people whose language you cant understand... like americans and suverners.... (possibly the dutch aswell):D

thanks for letting me play guys it was an honour and had a right larf, special thanks to Chip (cjohns) for betting me to try and pull a 33 year old mother of 4 from s****horpe (and failing  ), Duffy for not banning me from the boards after missing a game due to me having the munchies, Ant for getting a prize photo of me falling flat on my arse on the mudslide that was the diablo field, and Zap andy for nearly getting us all into a ruck in a kebab house in s****horpe at 3.30am....

its been a goodun guys,

Chris

Big thank-yous to

Jon Payne for a good event, Andy at Zap for the great paint and all the teams we played - it was good to see so many familiar faces again.

Thanks also to Matt Schimidt for his last minute guest spot when the Welshman went AWOL - it was good while it lasted Matty...all 30 seconds of it. :p

Most of all, thanks to Buddha, Chip, Roo, Joe, Walker, Beaker and Sam for coming out and representing this site so well and making coming out of retirement a blast - we'll do it again soon.

I just got back from dropping the Budsta' at the airport and I got to say the weekend was a blast (with TJ's demise being the only sour note).

The guys were great and we while we didn't play up to par in a couple of games we kept our heads up and had fun.

Cheers for everyone who helped us, not least PGI and Zap, plus Piper & Co. for the superb support and encouragement ;) plus anyone we played against.

I know I'm meant to have retired but if this crew ask me to roll again - I'm there :)

Oh - and Joe, get rid of all that ear wax dude :D

Deja vu??

I think I've heard all this before:

Walker getting the munchies and sacrificing evrything to eat.

Walker falling flat on his arse/face (I always get confused there :D )

And a yank being gobby and nearly getting into a ruck.

Top event, was cool to hook up with the man Jay again, I'd have loved to see everyones faces when they saw how huuuuuge the man is in the flesh. We'll hook up proper bro when we come over next year, otherwise I won't get me cd's back. I think you're gonna love New Kingdom brother.

Shame about TJ though, Jay was telling me about how he'd just recently been training in China and is getting closer to Nirvana (not the band) and reaching an eternally peaceful state of consciousness. Apparently he can now levitate both himself and other objects, perhaps it was this relaxed state of mind that prevented him from unleashing a barrage of fatality moves.

Get well soon Teej, the world will will be frighteningly unbalanced without you.

Thanks to Pipes for the inspiration...who knows, if Jay gets his project off the ground then P8ntballer.com may ride again in Amsterdam...you might get an invite next time Pipes, although I hear Al's way better than you...

Unfortunately TJ never made it to the site. He got into some serious trouble at the airport (not his own doing).

Anyway, the rest of the weekend was good. The Sc*nthorpe nightlife is highly recommended, particularly to people wearing sneakers and caps (which covers 99% of the paintball scene).
Thanks to Andy for the paint, that was really cool of you. Cooks, it was cool meating you, shame it was too wet to set fire to any headgear though.

And for those who have no idea who I was, I was the one wearing the Robbo wig.:D
