You tried watching one of the learning dvd's like dystny etc and use some of the ideas from that...

Start with gear set-up, shooting and changing hands etc, General personal skills...

Then things like snap-shooting, break-out, USing bunkers correctly, game plans etc

Oh and dont forget Coommunication

If they've played before, get them on the field and watch them playing. Then get you and one of your team mates to do a light one on one showing up the pros and cons of bunker play.

Chris, the 1-ball check-in snap drill is great for snap technique and it can be used to learn how to effectively play different types of bunker (I remember you running this at Ambush a while ago). Other than that, as Ion_Paintball suggests try drills such as running and gunning, sliding into bunkers etc.

Where abouts are you planning this training? Come on down to Freekz and there are plenty of people that can give help and advice on what drills to setup. We've also got various traffic cones and targets that can be used to practice running and gunning drills.

We get quite a range of players down at Freekz from Mill SPL level down to Div4 NSPL and Koth, so its a great environment for them to watch others play (and even join in with games) and pickup tips that way.

If you need paint, hit me up on MSN and we can arrange for some to be brought down for you.

See ya soon bud!

start by teaching them the "correct" stance - how to hold the set up and where it should be placed on the body.

Call me unconventional, but...maybe you should start with telling them the idea of the game?

Effective Breakout, including getting kills on the break and primary bunkers.

Lane shooting.

Wrapping.

Running and shooting.

As has been stated, set them on each other and see what they do, is always a good start.

Teach them the importance of the 50, angles...snakes etc, by example and once they suss what the damage is, that will then become their goal.

Teach them game closing. Pushing a tape, run throughs etc.

Teach them how damn hard it is to actually hit someone who is running.

Etc.

Start by showing them the basics....
'This is a paintball gun/marker'..
'This is the air tank'..
'This is the hopper/loader'...
'This is a mask'...(explain importance blah, blah...)

Let them get a feel for the gat....
See who excels/gets excited etc...
See who can actually hit a chuffin tree trunk before you start showing em how to ball' properly etc lol

(if there already experienced 'punters/recballers' then ignore all the above!)

Once you get the basics put to bed....take em' to watch a game in progress if ya can. Let em see what its all about:):)

If they have the initial desire, like the feel of a gat in there hands and get to see how its done...maybe, just maybe....they will wanna take it further;)

Make sure they get to see a good tourney in progress so they can see where the adrenaline comes from etc.

I guess the bottom line is that you gotta try make it look as good as it is if ya wanna sell it;)
