tanks from preset regs?

kinda of a noob question but...
is it safe to take a tank from a preset and use it on another reg? (ie will it damage the threads on the tank if not remove properly)

In a word.. yes!

It should be safe to remove the tank from your preset and place it on an adjustable or another preset... just make sure it's empty first

To my knowledge, almost all air systems now use the same threads (correct me if I'm wrong) so they are interchangable, just be careful.. and don't use loc-tite!!!
